Though youth may fade, with boyhoods cares, new fears will catch us unawares.

There's a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep.
There's a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep,
Wraps itself around my tongue as it softly speaks,
Then it walks, then it walks with my legs,
To fall, to fall, to fall at your feet.

This set has taken me ages! I started it last night and then I couldn't get it right, and then I tried again, and even now I feel there's still something wrong. Oh well.

For anyone interested, uni's going great; I'm really liking it, well apart from the assignments.

Faking jazz together

Faking jazz together
I was tagged by the lovely @orbiting

Where would you go to if you could fly anywhere on Earth?
Faris Badwan’s house. I joke! I’d settle with anywhere in Europe.

How many books do you own?
Two book shelves full, which has made it quite a task to choose which ones I want to take with me when I move out.

What’s your favorite movie from your childhood?
Tremors, which is not at all an appropriate move for a child but I still loved it.

Who’s your favorite teacher?
Probably my old Italian teacher.

What’s your favorite kind of clothing?
Cardigans, or anything high waisted.

Bad habit?
Enjoying annoying people.

What was the last fictional thing you cried over?
I was so sick a couple weeks ago so I just sat in bed watching TV shows and you know when your emotions are all fucked up, well I watched The Reichenbach Fall, so I’m sure if you watch Sherlock you can just imagine.

What was the last vacation you took?
I went to the Philippines last year.

What’s on your walls?
Posters, photos, newspaper clippings cover my super high old fashioned walls to as far as I can get them up and then there is just a 50 cm section uncovered haha.

Where are you right now?
My room.

What kind of tattoo do you think you would have if you got one?
Well I haven’t got one as of yet, but I would like to get one in honour of a song called Mind’s Eye by Wolfmother which when I was young introduced me to great music and I’m sure that without it I would not be the same aspiring music journalist person I am today.

What did you do last night?
Watched a bit of My Kitchen Rules while reading in between ad breaks.

What’s your favourite album ever & why?
I’m gonna have to say Primary Colours by The Horrors because I think it’s just what an album’s supposed to be. Even though I don’t listen to some songs much by themselves, together it’s just perfect. Also it has Scarlet Fields on it which is the best song everrrrrrrrrr and I love the Horrors so much.

If you could see any band in the whole world live, who would it be?
Well for my life to be complete I have to see Florence & The Machine as well as Patrick Wolf.

Explain your icon.
It’s a picture I took when I saw the Horrors one year and fifteen days ago.

What 3 things always make you feel better?
Music, books and sleep.

What’s your idea of a perfect night?
Going to see a band I love with some good company.

What are you looking forward to right now?
Seeing My Bloody Valentine and then King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard this weekend :)

What’s your favorite smell?
I don’t know, some perfume?

What are you reading right now?
Great Expectations by Mr Charles Dickens

What’s one thing on your bucket list?
I don’t really have a bucket list, but one of my ultimate dreams is to make a television show about the evolution of music through history.

Visions of La

Isn't Pre-Raphaelite art just stunning?! We actually have a reproduction of the bottom right painting!

I also think this song is stunning, and though it's more tudor sounding, I think it matches well with the set.

Keep it quiet.
Just some little updates for people who are interested.

I got an offer into a Bachelor of Journalism at Monash Uni in Melbourne which was my desired course. I was so surprised that I actually got into it because my score was lower than required, and as you can imagine I was ecstatic.

Big Day Out was last weekend and it was pretty good. It wasn't as good as a whole in comparison to the past to years, however, Foals were so fucking good they just made up for it.

I'm recovering from the flu right now, and thus am able to write this because otherwise I would be a work at my relatively new job waitressing.

But how do I get there?
What road to be choosing?
When the seasons so high,
For losing.

How do I follow,
What road to be choosing?
Do I follow the star,
Or the Gypsy King?

Midnight in Paris.
It's one of my favourite films, and even though I'm not that well acquainted with the 20's, I still love this film to death with all its references to artists.

I also love this song, which features in the film. My boss plays it often at work.

Oh and happy holidays!

Alone my dear, please don't go too.

Can you believe, this set was 5 items away from reaching the set limit!

Upon starting this, I had intended to do a Ben Barnes in Dorian Grey inspired sort of set, but the Cat's eyes wearing woman and picture of Ben Barnes just screamed a coupling. Maybe tomorrow I'll do that Dorian Grey set, but who knows.
